We have partnered with Nexbillpay to extend an additional payment option for customers interested in using their check, debit card, or credit card to pay their bill. Nexbillpay is a trusted third-party automated payment service that allows you to pay your bill online.
- What is the service fee?
Nexbillpay charges a small service fee to cover payment handling and all processing charges. A service fee will be calculated and disclosed prior to finishing your payment.
- Does Citizens Water Service keep any part of the service fee?
Citizens Water Service does not keep any part of the Nexbillpay service fee. Nexbillpay is a separate entity providing a service for all the customers of Citizens Water Service.
If your bill remains unpaid after the 20th day of the month, a $100 non-refundable, non-payment fee will be applied to your account and your service will be disconnected. If you make the disconnect list, you must contact the office before you remit payment as you are required to pay your entire balance, plus the $100 non-payment fee. If you are disconnected, you must pay the entire balance before 3:00 p.m. to have your services restored the same day. Paying online or by phone may not stop service interruption. We offer a $100 after-hours fee to have your service restored if you cannot pay by 3:00 p.m. If you pay the after-hours fee, it will have to be paid in the office by 5:00 p.m. to have your service restored the same day.
